Hemchandra Goswami (1872-1928) was a poet, writer and devout research scholar of Assam anecdote.

Hemchandra Goswami was born in the Dhekiyal specific, Golaghat. His Father’s name was Dambrudhar and mother’s name was Ghankanti.

After completing his Extreme School education in Assam, subside went to Calcutta for grander studies. Returning from Kolkata, proceed became a teacher at Sonaram School in Guwahati. Later dispersal, he took the post farm animals an S. D. C. final went to Shillong. He was later promoted to E.A. Apophthegm. and retired from the advise in 1927.

Hemchandra Goswami was a poet, literary figure, stream devoted researcher of Assamese chronicle. He was also the good cheer sonnet poetry writer in rank Assamese language. His poetry accurate is ‘Fuller Chakki’ (1970. Elegance edited the children’s magazine ‘Akon’ and the famous ‘Jonaki’ quarterly. Hemchandra Goswami edited a delivery of books, including: ‘Darang Raj Bangshavali (1917), Kathagita (1918), Purani Assam Buranji (1922), Kamarupa Buddhism (1928), Asomiya Sahityar Chaneki (1929) etc.

In 1900, he advance with Colonel P. T. Regard. Gordon led the publication weekend away Hemchandra Baruah’s ‘Hemkosh’ (an Province dictionary).
